The new way to dodge tuition fees?
Is the cost of university moving young people online?
As university tuition fees hit an all time high this year – with students starting this autumn graduating with £53,000 to pay back (gulp) – young people are busy investigating new, cheaper ways to teach themselves from home.
Instead of tens of thousands of pounds for qualifications that may not yield a job at the end, many hardworking young people are holding down entry-level ‘starter’ jobs – while swotting up on extra learning for the career they really want at evenings and weekends.
